There are dozens of other builds that are active and engaging for players, as there should be. That's the playstyle that draws me to this game. I come to Diablo these days to have a huge army of my own minions clear out the map for me while I just zone out. I have never played hammerdins, javazons, whirlwind barbs - these incredibly popular playstyles don't appeal to me. People come to Diablo for a large number of different reasons. In D3, I had a lot of initial issues with game tone like many others, but having 30+ minions on screen with witch doctor and ultimately necromancer was incredibly fun. Back then they were pretty weak, especially in boss fights, but it was a ton of fun running around levels with my army clearing everything out. Summoner builds have been my main reason for coming to Diablo since D2. I know there are approximately a thousand crying necromancers in this sub right now, but since Blizzard seems to watch this board, I figure I'll just add my two cents.
